We seem to have hit a bit of a brick wall with reimbursement for Menschi's Proton Radiation Therapy. Apparently, it's much more expensive than conventional radiation therapy and efficacy results are encouraging but not convincing enough for most insurance companies. We are exploring different avenues and hope that one of them leads to effective reimbursement. In the meantime,
our trip to Jacksonville is on hold.
On a sad note, Shmuel's stepfather, Akiva, is in the hospital (up in Canada) for a serious infection secondary to a carpentry injury. Please daven for his complete refuah (AKIVA BEN AVRAHAM).
On a happier note, Mazel Tov to the Russ family (Savannah) on the birth and bris of their son. Shmuel and I were honored to be kvatterin (may it be a good omen for Menschi's healing).
