Savta met Menschi's class briefly, and then continued upstairs for a scheduled "speaking engagement" in the 2nd grade. Leah's teacher had requested visitors to come and talk about life in another country -- how things are different and how things are the same. First, Savta talked about New York(that is like another country in a certain way). Then, she moved on to talking about where she works and how she's learned a lot about Russian Culture. Leah's classmates kept asking questions and wanting to learn more, so Savta began speaking about Israel. The kids were fascinated by her stories about Kibbutz Life . . .Leah was quietly reveling in the whole experience of having her Savta in her classroom .
