Today is Menschi's Hebrew Birthday!! I'm so glad we got a 2nd chance at the birthday thing. Last week he wasn't up to even opening a present. Thank you to everyone who donated to the chai lifeline swimathon in honor of his birthday. What a touching gift and tribute to him.
On the medical front, his counts are picking up. That is, he actually has counts now (remember his bone marrow was wiped out before the transplant, so for a while his counts were "0"). He still has some issues (particularly abdominal pain, and redness around his iv incision) that they are watching. Overall though they are pleased with his progress.
