Rainy Day

I usually love rainy days.... but today was an exception. The stereotype of a rainy, dreary day rang true. Menschi and I did many stroller laps around the hospital. When he's uncomfortable he doesn't know what he wants so he keeps asking to go in different directions. He's also been a bit angry with the whole situation. When the nurse came in to give him some medication he threw 2 oranges at her (luckily his aim isn't so good). The nurse took it in stride. We've been very fortunate to have lovely, understanding nurses.
Dr. Katzenstein shared some concerning news with me today about the head scan(MRI). The tumor in the head has shrunk considerably but there still seems to be some tumor activity in the orbital bone (eye/cheek). This was not the news we were davening for, nevertheless, it is the reality. We are going ahead with the treatment protocol (surgery followed by transplant). Gdwilling, the highdose chemotherapy before the transplant will take care of this problematic area. PLEASE CONTINUE TO DAVEN AND SAY TEHILLIM.
